Protect your paint with IKON Edition’s PPF. Invisible, durable, and self-healing to keep your car looking brand new.

Your car’s paint is constantly under attack from rock chips, scratches, bird droppings, and road debris. Our paint protection film (PPF) acts as an invisible shield, preserving the showroom finish while maintaining your vehicle’s original look.

Why Choose PPF?

PPF is self-healing, meaning minor scratches and swirl marks disappear with heat. It also resists stains, discoloration, and fading from sun exposure.

Our Process

We use computer-cut templates for a precision fit, ensuring every curve and contour is perfectly protected without visible seams.

Paint Protection Film Details: Coverage, Films and Care

Paint protection film (PPF) is a clear, flexible urethane film applied over your vehicle’s paint to absorb rock chips, scratches and road debris before they reach the finish. At IKON Edition in Laguna Hills we install PPF on daily drivers, new vehicles and high-end cars across Orange County, from the most exposed front-end panels to the entire vehicle.

Films we install

We work with films from industry leaders including 3M, Avery Dennison, KPMF, XPEL and EVOLV, and we recommend the right film for your vehicle, the finish you want and your budget. Quality PPF is self-healing: light scratches and swirl marks fade with heat from the sun or warm water.

Clear or color PPF

Clear gloss film keeps the original look of your paint. If you want to change the look at the same time, color TPU (colored paint protection film) combines a new color with the impact protection of PPF. PPF and color TPU packages are quoted individually based on your vehicle and the coverage you choose.

Coverage options

  • Partial front: front bumper, the leading section of the hood and fenders, and mirrors, the areas hit most often on the freeway.
  • Full front: full hood, full fenders, front bumper, mirrors and headlights, with no film line across the hood.
  • High-impact extras: rocker panels, door edges, door cups and the rear bumper loading area.
  • Full vehicle: every painted panel, for maximum protection.

How we install PPF

  1. The paint is washed and decontaminated so the film bonds to a clean surface.
  2. Film is cut from precise computer templates for your vehicle and adjusted by hand where needed.
  3. Where it gives a cleaner result, trim pieces and emblems are carefully removed and reinstalled so edges can be wrapped.
  4. Every panel is inspected for edges, alignment and clarity before delivery.

Caring for PPF

Hand-wash with a pH-neutral car soap and avoid aiming a pressure washer directly at film edges. PPF can be waxed or sealed like paint. We go over aftercare for your specific film when you pick up the vehicle.

Common questions

Is PPF visible? Quality clear film is very hard to see once installed, and full-panel coverage leaves no edges across the middle of a panel.

Can PPF be removed later? Yes. Professionally installed film can be removed without damaging factory paint in good condition.

Is it covered by a warranty? Coverage depends on the film you choose. Ask us about warranty coverage for your film and installation when you request a quote.

We serve drivers across Orange County from our Laguna Hills studio, including Irvine, Mission Viejo, Costa Mesa, and Newport Beach.
